Start with the basics

Fully close both WARDOGS and Steam, restart the computer, then open Steam and launch the game again. This clears stuck processes and stale launcher sessions, which resolves a surprising share of one-off crashes.

Repair Easy Anti-Cheat

If the game crashes the moment you launch it, delete the EasyAntiCheat folder from the game directory, then use Steam’s verify integrity option to restore it.

This forces a clean reinstall of the anti-cheat component specifically, rather than the whole game. It is much faster than a full reinstall and targets the actual failure point.

The safer remedy is to remove the inpoutx64.sys driver and its associated service while keeping the security update installed. Uninstalling a security patch to fix a game is a poor trade.

If your crashes present as full system restarts rather than the game closing, this is the most likely candidate — that symptom is unusual for an ordinary game crash.
